About 6” in Germantown, what a good snow for a noon ride in the winter wonderland
Realizing area roads are slow going, street parking is covered so it might not be easy for many to drive and park at Seidenfaden’s for the Noon start time unless you have a 4×4.
If you can make it out safely, please do. If you live nearby, ride to the ride. If you drive in, park where you can get out. If you want to meet up en route here’s a couple suggestions on how it should go:
• Seidenfaden’s start at Noon
• Alleys to Willow park by 12:20
• Top of Barringer hill by 12:30
• a few laps down and up Barringer hill till 1ish
• Trail conditions unknown (depends on if fat bikes have been out yet) we will see. Deep fresh snow is slow going.
• Park roads, bike paths and alleys are untreated so they may be the best bet.
• Ride will continue until 2 or later depending on cold feet or hands.
BTW: hand warmers are great for hands and feet.
Hope to see some of you out there! Got a fat bike? Bring it! Help pack the trails Down so others can enjoy snowy trails for the next few weeks. It’s not supposed to warm up much too soon.
Be safe. Have fun. Have a good ride if you get out today!
